Before starting my UX/UI certificate at AUB, I was already practicing many of these ideas in my professional work, even if I did not always label them formally as UX. I used to look beyond the interface and ask how the full experience could be improved: how users communicate with the company, how support handles problems, how feedback is collected, and how repeated issues can guide better decisions. However, studying UX/UI in a structured academic way gave me more confidence that this approach is not only a personal opinion or practical habit, but a recognized best practice.

This learning helped me understand that UX is not limited to screens, buttons, colors, or how easy it is to complete a task. It is about the full relationship between the company and the user across every touchpoint. A company with a strong UX mindset does not only focus on completing a transaction; it tries to understand users’ needs, reduce frustration, build trust, respond to feedback, and continuously improve the service. The AUB certificate helped me connect what I was already practicing with clearer UX principles, and it gave me a stronger foundation to evaluate companies and products in a more structured and confident way.
